Powerlines, redux

In case you thought I was exaggerating the Japanese love of powerlines, here's another poignant example:
and if you're still not getting it, here's a crop of the above picture:

Japan doesn't need street performers...

...it has street performing groups!

I wasn't interested enough to stick around for them to finish setting up, so I don't know what they sounded like, but they certainly had more equipment than your typical street musician.

P.S. Bugeye, heck yeah!

Contrast

Today in Shibuya, I saw this:
Which was kind of weird, but you get used to seeing the ourageous mother of normal child around here. I then turn right and see this: And 2 minutes later, I see this:

Contest -Updated with answer!

I have a simple game for you, identify this car that I saw in Hon-Atsugi today:

By the sounds it made and the way it moved, not to mention the aspects of its appearance, this car was the least stock on its internals.

Answer: Toyota Celica

also, if you want to see my pictures from Tsukiji fish market, as I've been too lazy/busy to actually write a post about them, I've just posted them all on picasa

アメリカの強さ

The title roughly translates to "America's strength", which seemed like an appropriate title for a post about something I found in the parking lot of the very dorm I live in:

Yep, American Muscle here in Japan.
